Heenan Blaikie - MacLeod Dixon 

Canada's National Newspaper, the Globe and Mail, is accusing two of Canada's most notorious law firms, MacLeod Dixon with head office in Calgary, and Heenan Blaikie, with head office in Montreal of having "provided legal services in connection with a $2-million bribe payment by Griffiths Energy International Inc.  to the wife of an African diplomat".

Both law firms were key players in the Water War Crimes.  MacLeod Dixon assisted in an early transaction in 1988 where the insiders sought to profit from confidential insider information while a Heenan Blaikie female lawyer destroyed the career of the Victoria City Police Chief who was carrying out sensitive investigations that led back directly to Heenan Blaikie partner, Jean Chretien, by luring him into a sex scandal

Criminal conduct by major Canadian law firms is so common and that Canadian lawyers no longer know the difference between what is legal and what is not and what is right and what is wrong.  The widespread use of drugs in the Canadian legal profession adds to the problem prompting calls for mandatory drugs testing of Canadian lawyers and judges.
