The WaterWarCrimes were first exposed by the filing of the Sun Belt Water Inc.'s Notice of Intent to File a Claim claim against Canada under the NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) in November 1998.
The Canadian government did not deal in good faith as it agreed to do under the requirements of the NAFTA Treaty and in October 1999 Sun Belt Water Inc. served Canada with a Notice of Claim and Demand for Arbitration pursuant to Chapter 11 of the NAFTA claiming $10.5 billion. An Amended Notice of Claim was served upon the Deputy Minister of Justice for Canada in November 1999. The Amended document included certain additional facts that came to the attention of the Sun Belt Water Inc. legal team immediately after the filing.
Shortly after the filing under NAFTA, Canada's Minister of International Trade, Pierre Pettigrew, ran off to the United States complaining that NAFTA had to be changed because it was not intended to allow small American companies make claims against the government of Canada before an independent tribunal. The Web site of Sun Belt Water Inc. is no longer available on the internet. Many of the documents posted there are available as part of the court record in the Supreme Court of British Columbia in the lawsuit filed by Sun Belt Water Inc. and Snowcap Waters Ltd. in 1993 a lawsuit that was illegally dismissed in 1999 after lawyers from the Ministry of the Attorney General in British Columbia lied to presiding judge Howard Skipp. They did not have to lie because Justice Howard Skipp had already received instructions as to what to do but the lawyers were part of the usual legal charade that takes place in Canada's courts that are now the laughing stock of the western world.
This is how Canada's crooked court system works. Judges take directions privately from insiders and the ruse of law is maintained. In his retirement speech, former Canadian Chief Justice, Antonio Lamer, candidly admitted that Canada's courts were " a bit of a charade".
Canadian Governments refuse to comment on the claim of Sun Belt Water Inc. under the NAFTA except to deny its existence.
